First time in...

Oh my, it was close to 80 degrees yesterday which meant the kids were antsy to get in the pool. After about 45 minutes of getting ready: bathing suits, getting towels, lathering up with sunscreen and getting in touch with Robbie's (our next door neighbor who is also 6) mom to see if he could join us, we went in the pool for a whoping 10 minutes....it was FREEZING! Upon entering my legs went numb. Gabriella went in all the day only to leap back to the ladder to get out. Thomas made me carry him and as he dripped ice cold water down my back, he was forced back onto the ladder. Robbie made it to his knees before his lips turned blue, was covered in goose bumps and was convulsing from the coldness. Well, at least we can say "we've been in the pool". Next week is suppose to get up to 90 degrees so hopefully the water will warm up a bit.
