Last summer, we took the kids to the Drive In to see Shrek 3. Everytime we pass the Drive In (which is very frequently) I am asked "Can we go see a movie there again?" The Drive In is only open in the summer and the kids have realized there are movie listing on the board as we drive by. Kung Fu Panda was playing and we decided to make a trip to the Drive In on Friday night. The kids and I went to the Dollar Store and loaded up on goodies to take with us. Gotta love it.....not even $25 for all four of us to see the movie, treats included. PLUS they do a double feature so 2 movies for the price of 1! The kids put their jammies on and off we went. We opened up the back of the van, laid out our sleeping bags and at exactly 8:50 pm the movie started. Now, the kids were swimming for about 7 hours on Friday so take a guess how much of the movie they saw....exactly...not much. By about 9:30 both kids were sleeping and Tom and I were left watching a movie about a fat panda learning Kung Fu through the use of food! Anyway, here are some pictures from that family outing.

Summer fun
Welcome back to our blog!
Hope all the daddies reading this had a wonderful Father's Day. We had a quiet day at home swimming in the pool (at least Tom did, I folded laundry!)
Yesterday we headed down to Ardmore for a BBQ at Jay's house...on final get together before his big move to D.C. Television has warped my children's minds. They know Uncle Jay is moving to D.C. to work in the White House. When they hear "White House" they automatically think of Disney Channels "Cory in the House" and truly believe that Uncle Jay will be taking over as chef and that Collin and Mya will be living in the White House with Sophie. So, we wish Uncle Jay the best in his new culinary career. Additionally, we are deeply saddened that Jay's dream of working for Hillary Clinton did not come true. Let's go Obama! =) (For those of that you do not know, Jay can not tolerate Hillary at all!) Back to the BBQ- the kids spent the afternoon playing on a Slip and Slide. Check it out! When I was a kid, slip and slide was a piece of plastic you threw down and loaded with water. There were no cool starting points like this one! These kids are spoiled! Regardless, the kids had a blast. And yes, that would be my nephew streaking through the yard and "skinny sliding down the slip and slide" Oh, these are pictures I can't wait to show him in another 15 years!
